Lunch: Lagoa Redonda

From the mirante the road curves back south, arriving at Lagoa Redonda around midday — good timing for lunch. The lagoon itself is a roadside revelation on the approach from the north: the water curves in a near-perfect arc against a white dune face, catching the full height of the sky. From the far side of the lagoon, a short hike over the dunes brings you to the beach — worth the detour if legs need stretching after the morning's driving. A meal here, with the dune and the lagoon as a backdrop, is one of the better-placed pauses of the day.

Desde el mirante la carretera vira de nuevo hacia el sur, llegando a Lagoa Redonda cerca del mediodía — buen momento para almorzar. La laguna es una revelación al borde de la carretera en la aproximación desde el norte: el agua traza una curva casi perfecta contra una duna blanca, capturando todo el alto del cielo. Desde el otro lado de la laguna, una caminata corta sobre las dunas lleva hasta la playa — vale el rodeo si las piernas necesitan estirar tras la mañana al volante. Comer aquí, con la duna y la laguna de fondo, es una de las pausas mejor ubicadas del día.

A lagoa é uma revelação à beira da estrada na aproximação pelo norte: a água faz uma curva quase perfeita contra uma face de duna branca, capturando toda a altura do céu. Do outro lado da lagoa, uma caminhada curta sobre as dunas leva até a praia — vale o desvio se as pernas precisarem se soltar depois da manhã dirigindo. Almoçar aqui, com a duna e a lagoa como pano de fundo, é uma das pausas mais bem posicionadas do dia.
