Urubamba
The valley floor opens up at Urubamba, the commercial heart of the Sacred Valley and a natural place to stop for lunch. It's a working town rather than a curated one — market stalls, mechanics' shops, and roadside comedores alongside the tourist-facing cafés — and a good contrast to the more deliberately preserved stops on either side of it.
