Into Alagoas

The drive continues south through Maragogi's outskirts and on toward Japaratinga, arriving at Praia de Bitingui by early afternoon. One of Japaratinga's five beaches, Bitingui is known for its calm, sheltered waters and quieter, more residential character than the town's central beach — a stretch of reef surfaces into natural pools at low tide. Check-in at the hotel, situated on the stretch of coast between Bitingui and Boqueirão, falls in the middle of this stop at 2 p.m., after which the rest of the afternoon stays open for the beach or the pool.
